Local radio supports local music

Across the nation, community radio stations are providing independent, non-corporate music programs, playing every kind of music that you can imagine, along with a wide array of open minded public affairs programming that has not been hijacked by cowardly media CEOs hoping to curry favor with the current authoritarian regime in power.

Valley Free Radio (valleyfreeradio.org) is a great example. They play all kinds of music including a good jazz show, The Downbeat, aring every Tuesday from 2-4PM.

They recently featured an entire show of local jazz music, including a cut from my: time to Face the Music recording.

Do yourself a favor and give the show a listen. You’ll hear something you’ve never heard before and it will most likely be good!
